The costs for certification vary depending on which credentials you wish to receive, the number of examinations you take and the study materials you decide you need to achieve your target certification status.
Typically at the Principal level your costs average approximately US$1,200-US$1,500, with annual membership cost varying between $75 to $125 per year, plus the cost of staying current in education and training (approximately $500-$600/year in professional development costs). That is why the majority of ICCP members belong to mid-to-large corporations that fund their employees certification, training and ongoing professional development. The associate level programs offer the lowest entry point for most individuals whether recent graduates or those moving from junior into mid-level positions. Costs for most associate programs vary between $250 (two part CSA or ISA, exam) for graduating students (Information Systems Analyst program or Computing Science Associate program); to Associate Computing Professionals (ACP) $488 or $598, to mid-level Associates in Business Data Management (ABDMP) paying approximately $750 discounted corporate price for three examinations. |
