Certified Data Professional (CDP)
The CDP is an update of the the Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), created and offered by the ICCP from 2004 until 2015 and then upgraded to the CDP. The ICCP Examinations were used as input to the DMBoK and then used in the update to DMBoK V2 by the editor and former Director of ICCP Cerification - Pat Cupoli. It was originally prepared in the period 2013-15, and is now dated and should be used just as a general guideline. The CDP and CBIP uses much broader and current industry scenario questions to evaluate professional competency and currency of knowledge. Data Professionals may specialize and certify in many of the following areas. Levels of Credential Available
Executive Management Requires passing 4-day in-person workshop on Data Management & Data Governance and written assessment passed at 70% of higher. Adherence to the ICCP Code of Ethics. Principal Requires three exams be taken (90 minute exam on IS Core, or 90 minute exam on Business Core and Data Management. The third exam is by specialization (view list of job roles and related exam) and passed at 70% or higher. Plus a 2-day mentoring workshop. Plus Significant contributions to the industry. Adherence to the ICCP Code of Ethics. Mastery Requires three exams be taken (90 minute exam on IS Core, or 90 minute exam on Business Core and Data Management. The third exam is by specialization (view list of job roles and related exam) and passed at 70% or higher. Adherence to the ICCP Code of Ethics. Associate/Practitioner Requires three exams be taken (90 minute exam on Technology Core or 90 minute Business Core and the Data Management Exam. The third exam is by specialization (view list of job roles and related exam) and passed at 50% or higher. Adherence to the ICCP Code of Ethics. If you've achieved a foundation credential by taking the foundation level exams you must retake the exams at 90 minute duration (but at a significantly reduced member price) for any of the higher levels which are extended duration and variety examinations. Foundation Requires 2 exams (60 minute Technology core exam, 60 minute Data Management Exam) be taken and passed at 50% or higher. Adherence to the ICCP Code of Ethics. |
