Education Foundation and President's Message

Activities

The Education Foundation is a stand alone organization of the ICCP. Its primary set of activities falls into innovation, research, education, publishing and course development, within the information and communications technologies (ICT).

Research

Organizations wishing to use the brightest minds of our generation, establish research grants and ask for the Education Foundation's help in securing access to these individuals. The recipients of these grants are often students and research faculty. Many CCP holders are asked to act as mentors for the innovation, research and development efforts. New product innovation is the focus of this activity.

Universities and colleges involved in research of certified individuals carry out surveys on the CCP holders database, in order to establish or confirm benefits of certification and resulting improvements in the quality and quantity of work performed by certified individuals.

New research is also carried out in emerging standards for the ICT industries.

The Education Foundation, works alongside the ICCP Certification Council to create new examinations and update the knowledge requirements for various job types that exist in industry.

National occupational codes identify job roles and the Education Foundation is active in updating these job roles and specifications.

Extensive work has been performed by the State of Illinois on these job roles in the ICT sector, with significant contribution by CCP holders.

Through its' constituent and affiliate societies the ICCP can quickly access over 2 million ICT workers in North America and internationally.

Membership of the Education Foundation

The Education Foundation of the ICCP is made up of CCP holders who have contributed significantly to business, industry, education and certification in a holistic manner.

Former Presidents of the ICCP are often seen to be a natural fit for this senior position within the Education Foundation, though not all former presidents are invited to become members of the Education Foundation Board.

Renowned authors and lecturers from universities and colleges are often recruited to add breadth and depth to the stature of this body.
